The Downhill Day

We were excited to be starting out on the downhill day, there was three sections of huge downhills on winding roads and it was clear skies and sunshine all day. However, we also had a fair amount of uphill to contend with, the worst was right before the descent into Mostar, when we were already exhausted. Half the day we spent on a back road with barely any traffic and with lovely scenery. The only downside was a stretch of 8-10 kilometres on a gravel road which slowed us down a lot and makes your wrists and bum hurt. Overall, it was worth it though and we enjoyed t
he day with a good lunch in Posusje at Restaurant Antik.

Sights of note:

  • An abandoned car in a tree
  • A school with an art mural of the civil war
  • Two boys on bikes who tried to race us

Mostar

The old town in Mostar is very beautiful and medieval, with the Stari Most bridge as it's main attraction. We had a lovely dinner, including a good vegetarian meal, at Sadrvan and then explored the old town. the Terasa had a cool place to chill and have a drink overlooking the river, mosque and old town streets.
