Day 28
Rest day in Kulen Vakuf
 |
Feeding the duckies |
Today really was a rest day and we took the chance to recuperate after 5 days of cycling in Kulen Vakuf which is the only town within the National Park. Our guesthouse provided breakfast on the Una riverbank, we sign languaged our way through it, with the husband today. We then stood by the river and he gave us some leftover bread to feed to the ducks. It turns out there's no cash machine in town but we received some guidance that the petrol station will give you cash back if you put it on your card. So we took a walk along the river and spotted some fishermen photographing their catch.

Food time
We ate lunch at the Bistro Una - the second restaurant in town and they prepared Shanky some special roasted vegetables and a feta salad. In the evening we went back to our first restaurant from the evening before to have more pizza - a funghi and a vegetariana. The pizza really is great, our second favourite so far (after Italy of course). We aren't sure of the name and it isn't on Google Maps but it's opposite Bistro Una.

Sights of note
- The sound of the call to prayer from the Sultan Ahmed Mosque
- The chef in the restaurant coming over to see what Shanky was adding to his pizza - chilli flakes of course, which we bought in Ljubljana so he was never without them
