Day 26
Slunj > Plitvic Lakes National Park
35.6km
2 hours 24 mins
835m elevation gain
Today was our favourite day of sightseeing so far. We only had a half day of cycling to Plitvice Lakes National Park, we checked into our guesthouse, Etno House, had a shower and then headed straight to the entrance of the national park. We had to wear our flip flops as our trainers are still wet, but we survived the walking trails and we got to see a good amount of the park. There were many beautiful walkways, incredible blue and aqua waters, all kinds of waterfalls and a boat trip! The photos speak for themselves.

Sights of note
- A Japanese delegation around a Japanese government official or celebrity with some serious looking security
- All Croatians seem to smoke indoors and outdoors, including a group of 12-14 year olds chain smoking at the restaurant this evening
- Speaking of which, most Croatian and Slovenian drivers are on the phone whilst driving, even huge trucks and buses - quite disconcerting for us on bikes!

We couldn't resist a cute selfie |
