Day 9
Prague > Pruhonice > Kamenice > Sedlcany
84.9km
5 hours 11 mins
1,212m elevation gain
Today was marked by hills. Up and down for most of the day, working those muscles as we cycled along. There were many lakes and it was an enjoyable route, it is even named the 'Czech Paradise' here, EXCEPT for the (lack of) signposts. We would be tootling along, only to realise we hadn't seen a sign in a while, so I would check the map and direct us to the next place on the route and we would pick up the signs again. They obviously had skipped an important place to have a sign AND they just kept changing the number of the route we were following. Thoroughly erratic. However, we continued along and enjoyed the lakes.

Shanky and a lake |
Sights of note
- A pizza oven shaped like a castle with turrets
- Huge fish jumping up in the lake where we had a rest
- We traversed a road block, squeezing past a digger and over some concrete near the fresh tarmac
- Two goats sitting on boxes at lunch time
- An 8 or 9 year old drinking a full beer at the restaurant in the evening (accompanied by his parents and sister)
